Why this matters

When you do the same work repeatedly, save your files and instructions as a Project so you stop re-explaining yourself.

The 20-minute experiment

1. 1Pick one job you do at least twice a month, like responding to client emails or writing product specs
2. 2In Claude, open the left sidebar, click Projects, then Create project
3. 3Name it after the job and add three real files: examples of what you've done before, a template or guide, something that shows your style
4. 4Write a three-line instruction: who you are, who you're writing for, the tone or length rule you never break
5. 5Open a chat inside the Project and ask for the job. Notice how much less you explain

Here are my working files. Based on them, write three-line standing instructions for how I should write [for this audience/about this topic]. Keep them factual and testable.

• Project created with a clear name

• First chat inside it needed less re-explaining than it would have outside
