Why this matters

Write access is where connectors get dangerous. Audit what each one can do before you click Allow.

The 25-minute experiment

  1. 1In Claude Settings, then Connectors, look at each connected app
  2. 2Click one and look for the permissions it's asking for (usually says read, write, or delete)
  3. 3If it has write access, ask yourself: could this app overwrite or delete my files?
  4. 4If yes, go back and see if you can downgrade to read-only
  5. 5For any app with write access, add a rule: 'Before this app makes changes, I review it in [Slack, a channel, email]'
  6. 6Write that rule down somewhere you'll actually check it

Prompt

Review these permissions. Flag anything that could delete or overwrite data without a human reviewing it first.
