Why this matters

A connector is a safe bridge between your assistant and an app you already use, like Google Drive or Notion. MCP is simply the standard those bridges are built to. It means the assistant can read your real work instead of guessing.

The 20-minute experiment

1. 1In Claude, click your name at the bottom left, then Settings, then Connectors
2. 2Pick one app you already use daily. Google Drive is the easiest first choice
3. 3Click Connect, sign in when the pop-up appears, and allow read access only
4. 4Start a new chat and ask a question only that app could answer, such as 'What's in my most recent doc about pricing?'

Using the connector, find everything from the last two weeks about this project and give me a one-page summary.
