Why this matters

The prompt that worked yesterday disappears unless you file it. A simple five-entry note saves hours of re-writing.

The 15-minute experiment

  1. 1Go back through your chat history and find five prompts you've reused or that produced great results
  2. 2Create a note (Apple Notes, Google Docs, wherever) and call it 'My prompts'
  3. 3For each prompt, write: a one-word job name (for example 'Edits', 'LinkedIn', 'Proposal'), the prompt itself, and one line on when you use it
  4. 4Example entry: 'Job: Edits | Prompt: Line-edit for clarity and rhythm... | Use: Before I send anything important'
  5. 5When you find a prompt that works, add it to the note immediately
  6. 6Use the library twice this week by copying and pasting from it instead of re-typing

Prompt

Label each prompt with its job and one line on when to use it. Keep the library under one page.
