Why this matters

Most inbox time is spent deciding what to reply to. Hand that over and the writing gets fast.

The 20-minute experiment

  1. 1Open Gmail and select this morning's emails (just the subjects)
  2. 2Copy all the subject lines into a note or paste them into Claude
  3. 3Ask: 'Sort these into four buckets: reply today, reply this week, delegate, ignore. Give one reason for each.'
  4. 4Read the answer
  5. 5In Gmail, create four labels (or folders) and drag emails into them
  6. 6Draft only the emails in 'reply today'
  7. 7Archive the rest without looking

Prompt

Sort these email subjects into: reply today (urgent or time-sensitive), reply this week (important but not urgent), delegate (someone else should handle), ignore (FYI only). Give one reason for each.
